Biostimulant Injectables - Radiesse ®
What are Radiesse ® Injectables?
With biostimulants on the rise it’s easy to know why. What are biostimulants? Simply put, biostimulation is the body’s natural, self-regeneration and skin rejuvenation process. Lift, Contour and rejuvenate now and later with Radiesse injectables. Notice immediate volume and lift in targeted areas while simultaneously stimulating your body's own natural collagen & elastin.
how it works
Radiesse ® offers versatile biostimulation with immediate and long term results. When compared to traditional hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers, Radiesse ® provides a higher viscosity which enables the injector to see results immediately. The product also remains in place and will not spread to surrounding tissues. This Calcium based product stimulates fibroblasts to produce collagen for up to 1 year and elastin for up to 9 months.
why this treatment?
Ready for true skin renewal? It’s time for the Radiesse approach which delivers the Triple Effect.
Collagen + Elastin
Contour + Lift
Immediate + Long Term
Noticeably impacts skin quality and diminishes lines while adding volume to the mid-low face. This treatment can also effectively address the hands, neck and decollete (chest) area with two formulations to craft and individualize your treatment plan.
the process
Radiesse® is injected and/or feathered using a fine needle, by an expertly trained RN injector under the direction of our full-time physicians. Your medical history will be reviewed, a consultation will be completed along with a facial analysis before any injections are done.
what to expect
How should I prepare for my procedure?
Ensure your body is well hydrated. Please inform the Nurse if you are prone to COLD SORES. A course of prophylactics may be required before treatment. DO NOT take Aspirin, Ibuprofen, other anti-inflammatory, or Vitamin E for at least 4 days prior to your treatment as this may increase risk of bleeding and bruising to the injection site. You may take Tylenol.
How long will the treatment take?
You should expect one session to take from 15 to 60 minutes depending on the facial area treated
Is there anything I should avoid post-procedure?
Please refrain from any activities that will increase your circulation (i.e. exercise and drinking alcohol). In order to allow the product to stabilize, do not rub, scratch, or massage the treated area(s). Avoid extreme hot/cold temperatures. Avoid excessive movement of the area for a few days, especially the first 12 hours. If you have had lip enhancement, avoid puckering your lips for 2 days after the treatment, also avoid drinking liquids through a straw.
How long will healing take?
Though Radiesse® treatments are non-surgical, our nurse can use a topical numbing cream or ice to minimize any discomfort at the injection sites. The HA-based filler also contains lidocaine, a local anesthetic. You will be able to go back to your daily routine after your treatment.
Can I continue my regular skin care routine?
Avoid any at home exfoliants for 5-7 days. Avoid professional skin treatments (ex. Waxing, lasers, microdermabrasion etc.) for 2 weeks.
How long after my appointment will my follow up appointment take place?
If a follow up is required we recommend waiting till the 2 week point to allow filler to settle and let any swelling and bruising to go down.
